For me, travelling means discovering and getting to know new places, people & cultures. But this was not possible during the pandemic. Therefore, the only journey that remained seemed to be the mind journey: Spaces of Taiwan is a retrospective & at the same time a homage to the country and travelling itself. The series of objects shows memories materialised in glass. They are inspired by culinary diversity. Explicitly, however, by Taiwanese night markets & bamboo. Thus, filled with delicacies, an environmental and action context is created that can be found in all cultures: communal dining.
