The works of sculptor Katharina Andress always move between the boundaries of fine and applied art and the transitions between wearable jewelry and autonomous artwork are fluid.
Her delicately carved, colorful small sculptures tell stories; in their colorful garments they appear like three-dimensional costume designs for a futuristic play or a journey through space, playfully changing their function - sometimes they are pieces of jewelry for the body, sometimes works of art for the wall.
