For many years, Laurenz Stockner has been involved in the production of wrought metal bowls, including those made from home-grown copper.
His steel works are less well known. They convey clarity of form and expression, but above all depth and lightness of the otherwise heavy material.
Stockner is also breaking new ground with a series of vessels made of tombac. Materiality and form seem to dissolve in the high-gloss white surface. The sculptural objects gain in lightness and almost begin to float.
