Domestic woods, preferably oak, form the basis for my objects. I turn thin-walled vessels, some asymmetrical, on different axes.
Through the finely sanded inner and heavily brushed outer surface and final surface treatment of the works, the living structure of the wood is exposed and thereby not only visually but also haptically tangible. I like to play with the coloring properties of tannic acid contained in oak wood, obtaining variability in the final surface coloring of my vessels.
