The bottari is a square cloth from Korea in which objects are wrapped. In Europe, on the other hand, tables were covered with a similar cloth: the tablecloth.
Despite their different uses, both textiles are used to protect against soiling from external influences. The similarities between the two textiles aroused Sungkyung Yoon's interest and were the beginning of her work.
The work aims to make these Koranic and German connections tangible as textiles and to give them a presence in the object.
