Niedermann is interested in the glass objects from the 'Magnetics' series. These are based on investigations into magnetic fields, their collision and breakage. In his works, the inner forms attract colored particles that hit the outside, shatter, fuse and leave superheated, molten and floating glass molecules on their surface. In 2021, Niedermann received the BKV Prize for Young Craftsmanship for the 'Modular Shapes' series, and in 2022 the Bavarian State Prize. His motto: “I draw the boundaries of my craft further with every experience. The goal is art.”
