Claudia Biehne devotes her work almost exclusively to porcelain. She develops her own techniques for each of her elaborate unique pieces. The ceramic material can be poetically delicate, expressively colourful, enigmatically mysterious or composed of hundreds of pieces. Under the working title "Nature is stronger", Claudia Biehne observes processes of nature as a source of diversity of form and change in order to transfer this into her works. With her wall-forming elements from "Landscapes in the Mind" or the coral-like objects "Between the Tides", she also stimulates the viewer's imagination. The process of creating her works is complex and multi-layered. The process of transformation at the highest temperatures reflects the enormous strength of nature and is an exciting undertaking for the designer.

Creations by Claudia Biehne can be found in various international museum collections. She received a jury prize at the renowned MINO competition in Gifu/Japan, among others. As a member of the International Academy of Ceramics, she maintains an active exchange with like-minded people in various corners of the world.
